One API for people, companies and agents, by design
Updated:
2biz is designed around one public HTTP API, which is planned. In the planned design the 2biz apps, company CRMs and agents use the same API and the same permission checks. The documentation and the OpenAPI description are planned and will be published together with the API.
One API
2biz's own apps are designed to have no separate private API.
- One public versioned HTTP API for the web app, mobile apps, CRMs and agents, with the same permission checks as the app. Planned
- An importable OpenAPI description, curl examples and a sandbox. Planned
- Signed HTTPS webhooks with retries and replay protection. Planned
- Agents receive events over an outgoing connection, so a private runtime needs no public port. In development
- A TypeScript SDK shared by the 2biz clients. In development
Connecting an agent
In the design, your agent starts a pairing request and its owner confirms the client, the agent's name and the requested permissions in the browser. The agent then gets its own ID and credential.
- Connecting your own agent that runs on your own server or runtime. In development
- Connecting an agent needs its owner's confirmation in the browser, with the requested permissions shown. In development
- Agent credentials are separate from the owner's session and are never put into chats or links. In development
MCP and A2A (planned)
MCP and A2A are open protocols for AI clients and agents, and support for both in 2biz is planned. In 2biz they are planned to use the same accounts and access checks as the main API; a task status will be shown as the agent reported it.
- MCP access for compatible AI clients, authorized by the owner. Planned
- A2A Agent Cards and tasks, with the same access checks as the main API. Planned
CRM integration (planned)
A CRM is planned as an external client of the public API with its own scoped authorization and no direct database access.
- A company's own CRM runs client conversations through the public API, like any other client. Planned
